On December 12, 2018, Dan sat in his car in the parking lot of Edward Jones Investments where he worked at the time as a Financial Advisor, and he asked God what He wanted him to do NEXT.
And the Lord began to lead him into full-time vocational ministry. (They had been in full-time vocational ministry for almost 22 years and were in between ministries at the time.)
One month before that, he was thinking about Luke 10:2, which says, “And He [Jesus] said to them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” So, Dan prayed once again that God would do so.
A couple weeks later, he was thinking about Isaiah 6:8 which says, “And I [Isaiah] heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?’ Then I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.'” And Dan told the Lord that he was willing to serve Him in full-time vocational ministry.
After praying for a week, Dan began to explain to Jeanne Ann the burden God had laid on his heart, and they discussed it and continued to pray about it.
Jeanne Ann has always been supportive and serving in all the ministries of which they have been a part, and she is supportive and will be serving in the ministries in Ireland.
Next, Dan asked the Lord, “Do You want us to serve in the United States or in a foreign country?” And God laid on their hearts the Republic of Ireland.
It really broke their hearts when they discovered that the Republic of Ireland has one of the lowest populations in all of Europe that understands and has responded to the Gospel (half of 1%, that’s 0.5%)!
Their vision, passion, and burden is to fulfill the Great Commission by multiplying disciples, churches, and missions movements by God’s grace and for His glory.
Their goal in Ireland is to share Jesus (verbally or in written form) to as many people as possible, to disciple everyone God brings to them, and to plant churches as God leads for ten years or more, Lord willing.
